Residential Care
Unlike home health, Residential Care becomes an option when an individual is not likely to improve, or become more independent over time.
While a Home Health Agency can offer intermittent nursing support, we are prohibited from providing full-time care; unless the client or family requests private duty nursing (this service is not covered by Medicare).
When seeking Residential Care for your loved one, consider the following points:
- Is the facility accredited?
- Is the facility Medicare Certified?
- Is the facility licensed by the State?
Also consider getting references and consulting with the Better Business Bureau, or a local Consumer Watch Group.

Registered Nurses provide nursing care by the visit. Following the physician's orders, the RN is equipped to monitor and instruct the client regarding their care.
