About Home Health
If you have Medicare, your 'home health benefit' will pay for services rendered, as long as your MD approves and you meet the following criteria:
•You must be homebound or normally unable to leave home unassisted. Leaving home briefly for Medical Appointments or non-medical outings, such as religious services, is OK.
•You must need Nursing Care, Physical Therapy, Speech-language Pathology Services, or Occupational Therapy.
TeamworkAs a home health client, your Plan of Care may call for the involvement of multiple disciplines. The Home Health Agency is responsible for developing your Plan of Care (in collaboration with your doctor), and then coordinating the delivery of services.
